Early 1940’s Spalding Tennis Balls in Original Packaging – Bag
Here we are offering an extremely scarce item, Early 1940’s Spalding Tennis Balls in the Original Packaging. Made by the A.G. Spalding and Bros. Sporting Goods Company, these rare vintage tennis balls were packed using paper bags instead of the typical metal tennis can. As a result, of conserving metal for the War effort, cardboard containers were substituted for the usual metal tennis can. Some were even made of just a paper bag. This fine example is an unopened bag of the USLTA vintage tennis balls. The condition is NR-MT with note to the partial tear as shown above. An incredibly rare item to add to your antique tennis collection!
