This is an 1890’s Harvard University Pillbox Style Baseball Cap. This is an extremely rare style cap in any form, to be from Harvard University is just awesome! As would be expected, it is of the highest quality featuring a fully intact and supple leather sweatband around the interior which is stamped with the maker, James W. Brine, athletic outfitters. The cap remains in gorgeous, EX-MT to NR-MT condition! Images of the 1899 Harvard Baseball team were taken from "The H Book of Harvard." An incredible piece of Ivy League baseball to add to your vintage sports memorabilia collection!!
