1892 Horsman 'Standard' Model Lawn Tennis Racket

This is an exceptional 1892 Horsman 'Standard' Model Lawn Tennis Racket. This incredible vintage tennis racket was among other models offered in the 1892 catalog including the 'Montauk', 'Seabright Special', 'Casino Expert', 'Cleveland', and the 'Eclipse Special' which was the featured racket for that year. In 1892 Horsman was located at 342 Broadway in New York City. Horsman is recognized as the first American maker of lawn tennis equipment. This wonderful vintage tennis racket remains in EX-MT condition with all of the original gut strings completely intact. It will make for an excellent addition to an antique tennis collection or any vintage sports collection!
