1910’s Black Leather D&M Fielder’s Glove NR-MT – 7 Inches
Presented here is a superb 1910’s Draper & Maynard (D&M) Black Leather Fielder’s Glove, a truly outstanding example preserved in near mint condition. Measuring only 7 inches tall, this early glove is a wonderful representation of deadball-era craftsmanship from one of the game’s premier makers.
Constructed of soft black leather, the glove remains remarkably supple with tight, even stitching. The surface exhibits only the slightest trace of age toning, with no cracking or significant wear — an extraordinary state of preservation for a glove of this vintage. The reverse is equally impressive, retaining its original button closure and bearing a crisp and clean D&M cloth patch sewn on the wrist strap.
At just 7 inches, this glove reflects the smaller, minimal design of the period. Examples of early D&M gloves in NR-MT condition are scarce, and this black leather model is particularly striking in presentation. A great looking addition to any collection of early baseball gloves and equipment.
