Product Details

Presented here is a handsome 1920’s Spalding Model 200 “Autograph Series” Baseball Bat, bearing the facsimile signature of F. Glenn Wright, the slick-fielding shortstop known for his steady play with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Robins. This attractive bat is a fine example of Spalding’s player-endorsed line from the roaring twenties — a period celebrated for its high-quality craftsmanship and bold branding.

The bat measures full professional length at 34 inches, fashioned from select hardwood with a rich, deep patina that beautifully highlights its age. Stamped boldly on the barrel is the attractive Spalding 200 Series logo, along with the script facsimile signature of F. Glenn Wright, all sharply defined and clearly legible. The knob end also features the Spalding logo.

Spalding’s Autograph Series bats were among the company’s most popular offerings during the 1920s, connecting fans directly to the heroes of the diamond. This F. Glenn Wright model is a scarce and well-preserved example, representing both the artistry of early Spalding manufacture and the enduring allure of baseball’s golden age. The condition is excellent, showing light wear consistent with respectful handling over the past century.
