SCARCE PENNA GUARD Football Noseguard Pat’d May 18, 1905 Detachable Mouthpiece

Offered here is an outstanding vintage football noseguard with a rare, detachable mouthpiece. This is an exceptional noseguard for several reasons. This is not a typical Morrill’s noseguard, this example was made by PENNA. GUARD, which is embossed at the top, front of the guard. Additionally, it features the rare detachable mouthpiece and also an extended portion to protect the chin. These features were an improvement to the original and carry the patent number and date of May 18, 1905, embossed on the bottom, front of the nose guard. This football nose guard is complete with the original strap, and the overall condition is EX-MT. A true rarity and exceptional item for the vintage football collector!
