Turn of the Century Quilted Basketball Pants - Full Length

Here we have an extremely rare pair of turn of the century, quilted basketball pants. During this time in basketball, the pants, or shorts, were worn at full length. So the pant length went to just above the knees. Full length, antique basketball pants have proven to be among the most difficult vintage basketball items to acquire. Another typical characteristic of the 19th century pants is the unusual closure at the back of the waist. This was to allow the pants to be snugged from the back of the waist as well as the front. This was a common characteristic that is also found on trousers and dungarees from the same period. This pair of antique basketball pants remains in exceptional EX-MT condition. Astonishingly, there is no maker. However, there is a model “No. 681” and size “30” marked on the inside of the waistband.
